Utilities and Energy Services
UF's Physical Plant Division - Utilities and Energy Services is responsible for providing the University of Florida Campus with central utilities and overseeing energy management and building automation initiatives.
The U&E department provides multiple utility services including chilled water, steam, electricity, water, reclaimed/irrigation water, and wastewater treatment.
Additionally the U&E department also manages the Main Campus and Health Science Center building automation and environmental control systems. In conjunction with these services, the department also provides direction, policy, and support of energy initiatives and oversight of performance contracting projects.
In support of these services, the organization is comprised of three functional units:
Chris Whitehurst, Business Manager
The Administration and Analysis Unit is responsible for centralized department finances and billing, utility metering and utility location services, as well as all department reporting, administration, and business process analysis.

The Utility Operations unit is responsible for the production, distribution, collection and treatment of campus utilities, including utility infrastructure project planning and construction services.
