SYSTEMS
The primary role of the Systems Department is to provide reliable and economical air conditioning, chilled water, electricity, steam, potable water, plumbing and waste treatment. Timely scheduling and accomplishment of regular and preventive maintenance work are performed in order to assure that each facility is maintained at its highest standard.
The Systems Department consists of three major sections: HVAC, Electrical and Water. Each of these is further divided into "shops" or functional areas. Each shop or area varies in size from five to nine employees.
The staff of the Systems Department is comprised of approximately 110 dedicated employees who fully
understand the university's mission and are committed to serving all students, faculty and staff. Each
employee strives daily to do the right thing, but if we've missed an opportunity to meet your
expectations, please let us know by calling (352) 392-6361 or send an e-mail to me at
