OPERATIONS ENGINEERING
Welcome to the Operations Engineering Department of the Physical Plant Division at the University of Florida.
Our primary goal is to provide quality engineering services to the University of Florida community and other departments within our organization such as Systems, Facilities and Grounds in supporting education and research.
We have a staff of 10 qualified and dedicated engineers and engineering technicians.
The Operations Engineering Department provides the following services:
- Review and inspect all construction projects on campus including new construction and renovation.
- Update campus utilities plans including water, wastewater, chilled water, steam, electric, reclaimed water and irrigation.
- Maintain and update the preventive maintenance (PM) for all equipment on campus and generate PM work orders for other departments in our organization on a weekly basis.
- Administration of Dig Permit application and utilities line location.
