Health Science Center
The Health Science Center Physical Plant is divided into four divisions, Bio-engineering, Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital Maintenance, Structural Section, and Systems Section. Structural Section includes the Key Shop, Paint Shop, and Minor Construction Services. The Systems Section consists of all trades personnel who are responsible for corrective, predictive, and preventative maintenance. These shops are the Electrical Shop, Plumbing Shop, Air Conditioning Shop, Maintenance Mechanic Shop, and the Preventative Maintenance Shop.
We provide services related to the operation, maintenance, minor in-house construction projects, and departmental support within existing manpower and materials resources.
An operating budget is provided for maintaining the structures and utilities to original or subsequent modification standards. Requests for work above minimum state standards or where facilities are renovated must be funded from other than operating funds.
