Facilities Signs

Signs

The sign shop is responsible for producing and maintaining exterior and interior building signage consistent with University sign standards. Some of this work includes fabricating and maintaining traffic control signs, street identification signs, building identification and directional signs, nameplates, room numbers, vehicle lettering and graphics.

The sign shop is also ADA (American Disabilities Act) compliant and these signs (room numbers, room identification, restroom signs, etc) are installed in the federally mandated locations. Consistent sign placement throughout the campus is critical. Our services range from a simple nameplate to complete signage for new buildings. Interior nameplates and signs for identification of departmental areas are billable to the requesting departments.

Some interior signage is provided as part of the building. If you have questions or need help please contact us. To submit a work request, call Work Management Center at (352) 392-1121 or click on the Work Order link above.
