UF CAMPUS CAB SERVICE
PPD provides point-to-point transportation for University of Florida Faculty and Staff, on the Main Campus,
East Campus, and some UF facilities in Alachua County. (Shands, UAA, PKY, and several
other auxiliaries are not participants in this program.)

7:45 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.
Off Campus and East Campus:
8:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Please provide the following
information when making your request:
- Name of Requester.
- Phone Number of Requester.
- Number of Passengers.
- Location of Pick-up.
- Time of Pick-up.
- Destination.
- Return? Location of Pick-up.
- Return? Time of Pick-up.
- Return? Destination.
- Cell Phone Number of someone who is being transported.
Specifics of the service are as follows:
The service is provided at no cost to the user.
Taxi's will pick up and deliver riders to a designated spot at or near their building. Patrons should be waiting at the designated pick up place at the requested time.
Taxi service is intended for official business only. (No luncheons, doctor appointments, trips to
or from personal vehicle, shopping, ATM, personal errands, etc.)
Typically, taxis can accommodate a maximum of 4 riders on one trip, (luggage is very limited).
A 60 minute minimum advance reservation is requested for Taxi service. We need travel time and flex time to coordinate trips. Certain times of the day become over booked and we have to decline service during these peak times, to last moment callers. We must follow the rules of first come first served.
Taxis will wait a maximum of 10 minutes after requested time at a pick-up location before leaving without a customer.
Every rider and trip will be maintained in a Taxi Log.
Faculty and Staff with permanent or temporary disabilities who cannot ride in an unmodified 4-door sedan will be referred to Transportation and Parking Services' "Gator Lift" for transportation service. Please note the Gator Lift service does not include transportation off the main campus. Campus Cab is adding service for Faculty and Staff with permanent or temporary disabilities to UF Bridges and Human Resource Services with planned implementation in the 2008 calendar year.
Please be patient with us, we have a limited number of cabs serving campus, and coordination and communication is more
complex than one would think. Rarely do people have to wait for a confirmed reservation.
Please check and ensure that you have taken all your personal belongings with you. We cannot be responsible for items left in the Taxi.
If you discover you do not need our service, after making a request, please let us know, by calling 392-1121.
Last minute requests and cancellations are difficult to coordinate, please give us as much notice as possible.

"I had a meeting across campus this morning at the Phillips Center. A friend told me to call for a UF taxi reservation at 4 pm yesterday. I used the service and want to tell you how great it was. The driver was wonderfully helpful and friendly. The service greatly reduced my stress about getting to the meeting. With the cost of gas and the lack of parking on campus this service is incredibly useful. I walk most places from Criser Hall but the Phillips Center was beyond my scope.
